Auto CC/BCC for Gmail
Last updated: October 3, 2026
Auto CC/BCC for Gmail is a Chrome extension that automatically adds CC and BCC recipients in Gmail according to rules created by the user.
The extension processes Gmail sender and recipient information that is necessary to evaluate the user's CC/BCC rules. Rule definitions may contain email addresses, domains, exclusions, and CC/BCC recipients.
Rules and extension settings are stored locally in Chrome storage on the user's device. They are not uploaded to our billing backend.
The extension does not intentionally collect, store, or transmit the subject or body of email messages to our servers.
The extension uses InboxSDK to integrate with Gmail's compose interface. InboxSDK may make
technical requests to api.inboxsdk.com that are necessary to initialize and
operate the Gmail integration. These requests may include technical browser and request
metadata such as browser type, operating system, language, origin, IP address, and temporary
authentication or SDK identifiers.
We do not use InboxSDK to send email message content, user-created routing rules, or billing information to our servers.
Pro licensing uses our backend at docs-extraction.com. The backend processes
license keys and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers and status information needed to
activate Pro features, verify subscription status, and open subscription management.
Standard server logs may contain technical information such as IP address, timestamp, requested endpoint, browser/user-agent information, and response status.
Payments and subscription management are provided by Stripe. Payment card details are entered directly into Stripe's checkout pages and are not received or stored by the extension or our backend. Stripe processes payment and billing information under its own privacy policy.
Data is used only to:
We do not sell user data. We do not use user data for personalized advertising, retargeting, credit scoring, or data-broker purposes.
Data is shared only with service providers when necessary to provide the extension's functionality, including InboxSDK for Gmail integration and Stripe for billing and subscription management, or when required by law or necessary for security.
We do not allow humans to read users' email content or routing data, except where a user explicitly provides specific information for support, or where access is required for security or legal reasons.
Local rules and settings remain on the user's device until the user changes them, clears extension storage, or removes the extension.
Billing and licensing records may be retained for as long as necessary to provide the subscription, maintain accounting and security records, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
Network communication with our production backend, Stripe, and InboxSDK uses HTTPS. Access to production billing systems is restricted to the permissions necessary for the service.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the extension, its service providers, or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated date.
Privacy questions may be submitted using the support contact provided on the Auto CC/BCC for Gmail Chrome Web Store listing.
